This course satisfies the Utah Driver License Drivers Ed requirements for all first-time drivers under age 19, and adults over 19 years of age wishing to waive the mandatory 90-day learner permit hold period who are required to complete the classroom portion of the complete Drivers Ed program.
This course consists of 5 components, which will take an average student 35-40 hours to complete. These components include attending/reading through 9-online self-paced courses, watching lesson-related videos online using the links provided in the course, completing a workbook that is to be submitted to the school for grading, completing one practical assignment of your choice from the given options in the course and a final proctored written test with a required passing grade of 80% to graduate.
Most students will complete this course within two weeks with an average first-time passing rate of 98%. However, completion time and results will vary depending on the individual student.
This course can be completed before or after obtaining a Utah learners permit from the Utah Driver License Division. While SLIDES cannot guarantee a passing grade on the Official Driver License Exam, we will equip you with the material and confidence you need to take and perform your best at once.
In this one-on-one training session, Salt Lake International Driving will provide the student with a 15-minute skills assessment to help develop a customized plan to meet the student’s specific training needs. Whether you are new to the area and need refresher practical hours to join Utah roadway users safely or need additional practical skills to prepare for the State Skills Road test, we will customize a program for your success. All private drive training sessions are completed in school-provided, state-certified dual brake-equipped vehicles.
Package discounts, pick-ups, and drop-offs are available for packages exceeding 6 hours of training. No pickup is offered for a 2-hour session. Please note, pick up and drop off time is part of your scheduled hours. No additional fees are required.

As a Department of Public of Public Safety, Driver License Division approved third party tester, Salt Lake International Driving School is here to offer you this final skills assessment. The State Road Test takes an average of 20-25 minutes at the lowest price in town. You can take this test in your personal or school owned, state certified vehicle.
This behind-the-wheels practical skills assessment session is the state-required final driving test for all new Utah driver’s license applicants and those reinstating after medical or other administrative suspensions. The assessment covers basic driving skills including left and right turns, lane changes, starting and safe stopping, proper turn signal usage, traffic and blind spot checks, along with the 5-state required mandatory maneuvers including Straight Line Backing, Parking uphill or downhill with a curb, Parallel parking, Three-point turns and U-Turn (single lane or multi-lane).
At the end of this assessment, our instructor will provide you with feedback on your performance for your future safe driving on Utah roadways. With a passing score of 80% or above, you will be issued a sealed certificate of exam which you will turn into the Driver License issuance to apply for your official license. If necessary to retake this test after a failing grade, you are allowed to re-take this test after a 24-hour waiting period from the last test. There is a fee required per test.

In this 6-hour practical behind-the-wheel training course, Salt Lake International Driving School will provide individualized training tailored for the teen or adult student driver to acquire safe driving habits to meet Utah roadways’ demands safely. In this program, we will provide you with practical training in basic driving skills, including lane change, left and right turns, proper head checks, also known as blind spot checks, along with proper turn signal usage and braking.
Your practice sessions will include highway and city roadways, Parking maneuvers, and other mandatory skills maneuvers required for the State practical skills assessment/Road Test.
This program consists of three 2-hour courses to complete the state minimum 6 hours required to complete Drivers Ed. If you are an adult completing this course for practice only and not as part of the Drivers Ed requirements, you can schedule Two-3-hour sessions.
All behind-the-wheels sessions are completed in State-approved school-owned dual brake-equipped vehicle.
Students can schedule their behind-the-wheels training sessions at their convenience. That is why we offer lessons on both Saturday and Sunday to meet your busy student schedule.

No REFUNDS are permitted once driving sessions are scheduled, however you may reschedule any of the appointments once with a 24-hour advance notice.
Per Utah Driver License Division, all first-time applicants for Utah Driver’s Licenses under 19 years must complete a full Driver Education Course. Those over the age of 19 years wishing to waive the learner’s permit holding period are also required to show proof of Driver’s Education completion. A complete Driver Education program includes classroom training and a state minimum Behind wheels training course. Salt Lake International Driving School offers both of these in two settings. Students will enroll in an online 30-hour self-paced classroom material to be completed at the student’s convenience. Students will also complete their 6 hours of the wheels skills training concurrently or consecutively. If a student already possesses a learner’s permit at enrollment, the student can enroll for the online class and attend the skills training sessions concurrently. If the student does not have a learner’s permit at enrollment, the student will complete the online classroom to prepare for the state written test. Once the student is issued a student learner’s permit, they will schedule their behind-the-wheels skills sessions and complete them consecutively.
This complete Driver Education program is optional for students over 19 years unless they intend to waive the minimum learners permit holding period, at which point, this course becomes mandatory.

This program is for refugees with referral from the resettlement or Humanitarian center only! Do not register for this course if you are not a refugee and you do not have a referral from your resettlement agency or the Humanitarian center.
In this program, refugees, and other qualified student adults with referral from Catholic Community Service, The International Rescue Committee or the Utah LDS Humanitarian Centers with no-voice driving experience get unlimited behind the wheels training hours to prepare for the final Utah Road Test.
Daily scheduled training will start with a 30 minute in class traffic rules and regulations, followed by 90 minutes of behind the wheels training to master the basics of driving on Utah roadways. By the end of this course, students will be ready to take the final Utah Skills Road Test at any other third-party test center or at a Driver License Division office of their choice.
A student is required to have a valid Utah Learners permit before enrolling in this course; the permit must remain valid for the duration of the course as well. The student is also responsible for arranging an interpreter for the in-class portion of the course. This can be arranged with the resettlement agency or through personal friends/family members.

All current high school students with a 3.0 or higher GPA in most recent grade report is eligible for an additional 10% off on our already low-cost driver education course.
Refugees who have been in the country for less than 3 years with a refugee, Asylee or Legal permanent resident status with a referral from local resettlement agency are eligible for an additional 10% discount on our already low-cost driver education courses.
